Cavs send Richardson Lopez Pondexter Williams Rogers Suns send Divac Bowie Clippers 1980 1st Suns 1980 1st Suns 1981 1st Fucking hard cap, there goes my entire frontcourt future. Suns agree ps Cavs have 1.5 in cap so i think this should work. ps2 Note to John: if it doesn't work this way, proceed those 5 guys for Divac and picks alone. And then Cavs and myself gonna do a deal for Bowie later on. Just a note for you guys, the trade is not legal as its listed. If Bowie is removed, then the trade would be legal except the Suns would still be well over the hard cap, as they only shave about 650k worth of salary. That means they are still about $8.5 million over the hard cap.

First, there's no rule saying that you can't do deal if you over the hard cap.
Second, i'm obviously trying to move pieces i got in this deal to get under the hard cap.

I wasn't saying that you couldn't make the deal if you are still over the hard cap, just wanted to point out that the Cavs didn't note that he agrees to the trade without Bowie.

Yes, i'm trying to trick Cavs. Obviously he has no idea about that. We never talked about it and i just added it without even asking for his permission.

I simply posted that the trade as its currently posted is not legal. You edited your post after the Cavs accepted the trade, so John may not process the trade tomorrow because its not legal and the Cavs have not noted that they agree to the revised trade your are listing with your ps2 note. Just trying to keep you from coming online pissing and moaning about the trade not going thru, not that you ever do that.

hux the 1.5 mill in cap space is irrelevant because he is taking on an additional 3.3 million, if he had that much cap space it would have worked.

Let's not go crazy here. I'm sure a spreadsheet could be created, but there's no way something like that could be created for the league. That's just asking for too much. Also, even if something like your crazy suggestion is created, there's no way we'd be able to find some people to test it to make sure it works for every possible scenario.

Multiple role players on good contracts? The only good players I gave up are JRich and Robin Lopez - who is an expiring I probably wouldn't resign. The rest are basically garbage. Richardson has the potential to be good but he's not yet and he was the 9th overall pick in the draft so he obviously isn't an awesome prospect. Bowie was the 9th overall pick one year ago and still has 'A' potential so unless JRich blows up during his first TC they should be similar prospects. Divac is easily the best player in the deal, and while he's obviously overpaid, he's not a backup caliber player either.

Carlos Rogers 83 220 23 PF Cavaliers 64 78 20 45 26 80 63 35 29 63 60 60 69 61 59 53 + Cliff Pondexter 81 235 23 PF Cavaliers 47 61 5 80 26 42 66 25 45 59 42 66 82 63 79 62 + Robin Lopez 84 255 22 PF Pacers 69 66 5 44 34 50 63 22 65 30 60 54 58 38 75 61 + Jason Richardson = 20yr old rookie with A potential and already good starting letter grades and assumed jumping= Dunk Contest + Nate williams= filler
for
Max CONTRACT - Vlade Divac 85 260 23 C Suns 68 63 5 54 54 43 60 50 52 34 67 61 72 55 93 65 + Sam Bowie 85 263 23 C Suns 48 77 29 73 33 39 66 27 56 44 51 62 60 50 80 71 + bad picks...
ironically the suns picks are worth the most of anything from the suns, while the cavs give up a top lotto guy (which the suns wont return) AND one good project and 2 good role players for 2 role players (one being paid 15.5 mill n more) and picks that wont surmount to even close to J-Rich

I thought somebody did after all the fun and games with my trade at start of last season failing 500 times (or twice but it felt like 500!!)

This was the same problem I had last season in my trade. If after the trade the Cavs will be over the CAP then the salaries must meet the 115% requirement. So if Team A has $6m space then there are 2 options for a trade with Team B - Team A can take up to $6m in extra salary from Team B - If the difference is more than $6m the trade MUST meet the 115% rule
