Feel the free proxy camps should be for only this year and you can't super camp the players. Gives them a month to build up money have their assets get a bump and set them up to look better. After that they would need to use cash in some way. Its supposed to be changed to 3 camp for proxy team. I must not have hit enter when I changed it.

John1974 Can I request a change to some of the camps? Very minor but makes sense IMO Inside Offense Camp +2 Inside Scoring +2 to Strength or Quickness Pick and Roll camp +2 Inside +2 Quickness, or Passing These two camps are too much alike, IMO There are two ways to get inside scoring and quickness in the same camp, but there aren't any ways to get either jumpshot or 3 point shot and quickness in the same camp Suggestion:
Change Pick and Roll Camp from +2 Inside to +2 Jumpshot John1974 Any opinion on this? I have some other camps to do, but I would really like to do one that enabled outside scoring and quickness

Rookie-Sophmore Game/All Star Participant $50
Should I claim those for Season 1? I have a couple but noticed player experience is almost random right now. Like there are old players with little experience and some younger ones with more years.
I suppose the question extends to rookie awards in general. Are there rookies / non rookies or we consider that as a glitch?

John1974 I have 1 doubt and 1 suggestion. 1st, the doubt. We said rookie contracts shall not be extended to a 5th year but that applies to the whole duration of the contract, right? lol. I mean, even when the contract is about to expire if it is in the 4th year you can't extend it. I understand answer seems obvious but want to make sure we are talking about the same thing and not say '5 year contracts are not allowed' as in a contract with 5 years left. And 2nd, the suggestion and assuming I am right about the doubt. Instead of 'Any player on a non-rookie contract cannot be sent to a improvement camp' maybe we we could change it to 'Any player with 4+ experience cannot ...' so it includes 2nd round picks, rookie FAs, etc for same length.

So for rookie contract guys, there is no 24 age limit? There's no age limit at all correct? So if you draft him at 23 y/o, you can camp him for 23, 24, 25, 26, 27 (?), right? And does rookie contract include the 5th year extension? Or just the first 4 years? Just 4 years
That's the post that had me doubting. Or the 4 years is for camping?
Edit: I guess the post in there is self-explanatory, lol. So it would be camping for 4 years and extension possible but without camps for 5th year I suppose.

So free cuts are not eligible for camps right? Mostly thinking about free cuts in the #10 - # 19 range like when Bundy free cut Pick #10 Matthew Olowokandi (Kandi Man's fake 2nd cousin). I mean, since the rookie contract was voided.

It is giving me a headache that 2nd rounders can only go to 2 years of camping. Don't understand why we can't just make it 4 years like 1st rounders.
Normally you wouldn't need 4 years for 2nd rounders because they would stay in D-League that long or they are simply not worth it.
But what if you pick someone like Mannion in my case or Flynn for Knicks. If Mannion wins D-League MVP this season then that means I can last camp him at 20 and frankly it would suck because it would feel as a punishment for having luck in the 2nd round which is very rare. If Mannion won D-League MVP last iteration as a rookie then he would have been available for camps at 20, 21, 22, 23, 24. But now it goes from 5 extra years to 1.
I don't understand the upside in that and honestly I wish that we could at least discuss it.

Well it goes accordingly to the definition of the rule, which is rookie contracts ONLY. Do we start altering rules as we go again?
Now should it be a rule? Well if you think about it from a realistic standpoint, 1st Round picks have more upside. Whereas 2nd round picks usually step into rotation slots. Make a little contribution. Then slowly fade away within 2 years.
So logically it makes sense to allow 1st Round picks double the camps vs 2nd round picks. Because in real life they have 2x the chance of developing.

So the way this is set up 2nd round picks have zero value. If they can only get two years of camping why even invest in them? Least if after year two they look plausible you put camps into them. I would never waste 1k on a second rounder if I knew he only has one more year of camping.

Or just send them to the D-League and save your money.

but that's the thing.
If the 2nd rounder sucks you leave him at D-League so 2 years or 4 years it is the same because they wont be used. But if you are lucky enough to get a really good 2nd rounders then you better wish he doesn't win D-League MVP or else you are left without extra camps.
We say we keep it 2 years for 2nd rounders because they suck but then that only really affects 2nd rounders that do not suck which is rare. Why can't we have the same rules for all rookies? lol. As in actual sense meaning same years like it always was.
