It's been exactly one season since the 2010 ITP draft. Let's take a look at how the top 10 may have been drafted differently with the luxury of hindsight.
Original Top Ten
1. Cavs: Kevin Durant
2. Nets: Jeff Green
3. Heat: Marc Gasol
4. Spurs: Al Horford
5. Rockets: Mike Conley
6. Grizz: Tom Heinsohn
7. Bucks: Joakim Noah
8. Hornets: Greg Oden
9. Jazz: Thaddeus Young
10. Nuggets: Aaron Afflalo
Re-Draft Top Ten
#1 - Kevin Durant - SF 20 6'9'' 215 B B+ C+ B C A
Durant is still the easy #1 pick. His offensive efficiency as a rookie was quite remarkable. He will be an All-Star type talent for the next decade and a half. Until Shaq came along, Durant was the best #1 overall pick the league had seen in several seasons.
#2 - Mike Conley - PG 20 6'1'' 180 C B+ B A- C- A
After Durant, it can be a little difficult to sort through the next few players of this draft. For me though Conley is the #2 pick. He plays the premier value position of PG, he's only 20 years old and has a very nice looking build.
#3 - Tom Heinsohn - SF 19 6'7'' 215 B B- C+ B- C A
Looks pretty nasty for a guy who is only 19 years old. He's already put up a little bit of volume playing every game in his rookie season (when he was 18), averaging 16.1 ppg and 7.1 rpg. If I had the 3rd pick and Durant and Conley were gone, I would definitely roll the dice on Heinsohn.
#4 - Greg Oden - C 20 7'0'' 250 C+ D+ D+ A- B B
There are going to be four Cs on this list. Oden was the last of the four taken in the actual draft, but he'll be the first in this one. From a blocking and rebounding standpoint, he's well ahead of the others. He's also the youngest and has the highest potential.
#5 - Thaddeus Young - SF 20 6'8'' 220 B C+ C B+ C A
Very interesting prospect. Athletic freak, only 20 years old and still has great potential. Could become an absolute stud. Could become the most decorated Slam Dunk contest participant in the history of the league.
#6 - Joakim Noah - C 23 6'11'' 230 C+ C- C+ B+ B+ B
Like Oden, there isn't a whole lot of fat on Noah's ratings. He's strong in his post defense and rebounding categories. He could become a post menace in this league if camped properly over the next few seasons.
#7 - Al Horford - C 22 6'10'' 245 B- C C B+ B- A
Horford looks like a decent foundation to build upon. He has already shown a knack for blocking shots in minutes off of the bench during his rookie season.
#8 - Marc Gasol - C 23 7'1'' 265 B- C C- B B A
Big boy had a rough go of it last season. He still has some pretty nice potential though, and with a few camps he might someday be as good as mom's favorite son Pau.
#9 - Jeff Green - SF 22 6'9'' 235 B- B B- C C+ A
What an interesting creature this one is. He's pretty good in all the right categories to where you would think he would be an awesome point forward type player, but at the same time can you cover up the defense?
#10 - Jared Jordan - PG 23 6'2'' 182 C+ B B C+ D A
Pretty decent looking player at the most important position. With some proper camping he could become pretty valuable. Originally was the #16 pick in this draft.
