Kings accept. Wanted to shuffle the money around some. Obviously a huge short term loss, though.

Ok, add Robert Traylor to the deal. We can work something out later.

So this looks to me like 5 late 1st rounders and two weeks worth of Book E cash for a top 5 player. It was fun giving the Knicks a hard time for the Kobe trade but that move was child's play compared to this. This is a pile of leftover Chinese food for a strong MVP candidate. What does the trade council actually do besides deny me Zelmo Beaty?

I wouldn't say 5 late 1sts. 2 easily (both Raptors picks)
Clippers have been hit or miss the last 5 years. Some years they're good. Other times they're in the lotto. And Suns had a losing record last year. I think these are 3 decent picks to roll the dice on. Nothing concrete though. Which should be a requirement for a player like Kareem.
So 3 picks with some upside. And a good looking young player in Traylor. Its solid I guess. But probably not ideal for Kareem.

Clippers '13 could be good if they lose Edwards and Wade both in FA and don't replace them with any signings, but that's a lot of ifs. Suns picks could be good but this pick is for next season. This is four soft tacos and three cheesy bean and rice burritos for one Gordon Ramsay beef wellington.

Unless you're trading for a Joshhouston pick, you're always acquiring an "IF" in any deal for a draft pick.

To be completely transparent, Sid and I have a deal in place to trade Traylor back to me after free agency.

Well he wasn’t in the original deal. He was only added for salary matching. I guess he could trade him to anyone.
