I will look at the 11 last picks after camp. Wanted to do before/after, but I forgot to take down their ratings before the camp so here we are we a different format. Trying it out.
1. LeBron James SF 18 6'8'' 240 B+ C+ B- B+ C A
Crazy potential and crazy good ratings from the get go. Hopefully for the Bucks, Lebron becomes in ITP what he is to the NBA. If that is the case, they can never go wrong with having him around and surrounding him with different players. Not too sure how the camp treated him, but I think he gained maybe outside shooting and defense? Not sure but even then, 18 years old and B+ inside and defense. That is something to build on for sure. You can work on whatever you want with this guy. if you can get the 3P higher he will be deadly.
2. Dwyane Wade SG 21 6'4'' 210 B C+ B- B+ C- A
Another one I think you can build a team around, except he is over 20. Meaning he should not get crazy up and down unlike Lebron. Still ahs crazy potential and crazy rating as well. B inside and B+ defense as a rookie cannot go wrong with that. Just needs some luck and some and good camps. Same thing as Bron for D'Wade. If he can get more 3P it would be a deadly combination for a 1st option since he has already crazy good defense.
3. Carmelo Anthony SF 19 6'8'' 220 B+ B C B C B
Lower potential than the first 2, but some really good ratings as well though. Next season he should not have a crazy upswing or downswing with him being already 19 and 20 next season. Very good inside scorer as well as decent outside and defense. Potential dropped fast it seems, but that seems to be with a lot of players from this draft. Melo could work on 3P or defense for 1st year. Nothing to really be worried about though.
4. Chris Bosh PF 19 6'10'' 210 B C+ C B- C+ A
Chris Bosh does not seem to have had the best camp. B Inside and B- defense seems to be low and not a crazy upgrade compared to what he had. Could be remembering wrong, but it seems to me like the ratings have not moved up that much. Still really good Inside and a good base to start with for rebound and defense. I think with Bosh I might jump into inside right now while I can still help it and then the next 3 years I would do defense and rebound I think.
5. David West PF 23 6'8'' 232 B C C- B- B- B
West had an okay camp. He now has B- in both defense and rebounding which can be worked on. It probably will not be my first choice to work on as I think getting his inside scoring higher to start would be good like Bosh and work the next 3 years for rebound and defense. I would like to get Inside higher before they reach 85 and I cannot help it, just in case I can get those just a tad bit higher.
6. Darko Milicic PF 18 7'0'' 245 B- C+ C B C A
Milicic still has his 19 year old youth camp to come and crazy potential. So I think for him it really depends on how his camp next year goes. He seems to have already decent stats with B defense which means you need to work on rebound and some scoring, whether you want to go 3P or Inside. I would probably work on the scoring this season since Defense rating has a little more that comes into play than Inside or 3P scoring it seems. So I can leave out a defense camp for next year or the following one even.
7. T.J. Ford PG 20 5'10'' 165 C+ B B+ B D B
Ford has some good ratings to start with. Decent outside and defence, good handling the ball. Now whether it is passing or handling I am not sure, but still decent hands. Seems to be a very good starting point for a young player. Another one of the first round picks that dropped to B potential in his first camp though. At this time, I think I would focus on outside for first camp and adjust from there for next year.
8. Chris Kaman C 21 7'0'' 255 B C- D+ B C+ A
Good Inside and good Defense. What Kaman needs to work on now would be rebounding really but he has great starting stats. As I said for everyone else, I would like to focus on Inside in his case first and then go to the rebounding.
9. Willie Naulls SF 20 6'6'' 225 B C C B+ B- B
Naulls looks very solid after the camp. Not sure how he looked before the camp, but after looks juicy. B inside, B+ defense and B- rebounding. Naulls could probably end up being one of the top prospects from this class. Again though, as many before him and after him, he has now B potential. Inside scoring is what I would start with for Naulls for sure and go from there for next season.
10. Leandro Barbosa PG 21 6'4'' 220 C+ B C+ B- D- B
This is the first prospect I see that it does not seem like he can be that big of a game changer. Although with his B at outside and B- at defense, once could argue that moving him to SG would not be a bad idea. He has a good starting base for scoring and decent for defense. his handling is what concerns me for a PG. If I wanted him as PG, I think I would camp his handles right now unless what he is good at is handling and poor passing. Then I would go for outside scoring.
11. Josh Howard SF 23 6'6'' 203 B C+ C B+ C+ B
Another good start for a prospect I think. At SF, he has B Inside and B+ defense. Rebounding is low, but that can be worked on without problem. The fact he is already B+ on defense makes the camps so much easier in my opinion. Will the B potential come into play though. I would think Inside for season 1 then Rebouding for season 2 and possibly 3 if there is enough camps to go to and his potential has not dropped to C already.
From that, I want to see if I can rank after camp what I would consider the best prospects to work on.
1. LBJ
2. DWade
3. Melo
4.Milicic
5. Kaman
6. Naulls
7. Bosh
8.Ford
9.Howard
10. West
11. Barbosa
Sucks cause I was thinking of Kaman or West too at the time
