Because he pm'd me and I ok'd the trade. So you're not bothered about trading 1sts. The rule was always hard and fast and now it's not a rule anymore because it's ok when..... So get rid of the rule I didn't even know this was a rule. Until Yourkers told me. So I pmmed and asked John. And he said if the trade makes sense in terms of the players acquired it would be allowed. Now on 1 hand I understand the purpose of the rule. Proxy teams are proxy teams for a reason. Usually they're not very good. Meaning don't trade their firsts. But on the other hand if you have a team like Atlanta. That has a ton of talent. Why not allow a trade that irons out their flaws and makes them a true contender? Whats the harm in that? What would this particular rule accomplish by preventing those 2 trades? Imo it should be a rule...but with a little flexibility to it. If the trade makes too much sense, you let it pass.

Agree with New York Knicks. Especially when it's a GM of his proven track record

I can't trade the Grizz pick as a proxy. I understood it was flexible but when I read the rule it was hard and fast. Other than the fact I don't like giving up a 1st for a 1 year rental the deal makes sense and yes you are both experienced GM's - I just want some clarification on where the boundaries are.

That's what I thought the rule was too but also we are talking different circumstances here. You wanted the grizz to give up a 1st to get out the hardcap while they aren't very good while the Hawks have a chance to be good and that pick being medicore.
