Jazz vote yes...
King has career averages of 23 points, 6 rebounds, 3 assists and 1.7 steals per game. He averaged more than 20ppg in every season but one, and was also a 49% shooter for his career, and 87% from the line. King never had the sexiest ratings and flew under the radar for a lot of his career, but his numbers don't lie.

I voted Yes. His numbers are better than I thought. You can not deny a guy who is pretty well rounded and dropping over 23 a game.

I was on the fence with King, but his numbers pushed me over to his side.

I voted yes. He put up some great numbers every year for 8 years. The crazy thing for me is that this may cause me to change my vote for Cooper next year. I think Cooper was a better player at his peak, but King performed at a high level for all 8 years he was in the league.

Voted Yes. King was one of the most solid and dependable players we have had so far.
Consistancy is a great thing when you can count on a player to put up those numbers each and every game.

Good numbers, dominated the league in year 1. But what good is it if you score 20+ and give 20+ right back? He was always a B+/B defender. So NO

Good numbers, dominated the league in year 1. But what good is it if you score 20+ and give 20+ right back? He was always a B+/B defender. So NO I understand the vote, but in fairness to King, we don't know how many ppg he gave up on average. Fwiw, he was a member of the 84 Jazz that was one of the best defensive teams in the league, and he did average almost 2 steals per game. Still, I get the vote. My initial thought was that he would not be inducted, at least not this year.

i voted no, mostly because in the abundance of offensive producers we will have in this league, im not sure how he will stack up some years down the road. i am kind of on the fence though, so my vote may change next year if he isnt voted in this year.

I am going to vote no on King for now. I like his consistency and really like his .489 career FG%. But I can't help but notice that he hasn't even been selected to the AS Game since 1985, and has won no other ITP Awards. I think that hurts his standing as being elite in the league. I wouldn't mind seeing him stay on the ballot, but I think his career numbers say "very good" player and not HOF player right now.

I voted no, just dont think 23 pts should guarentee HOF with those kind of Defensive ratings.
