Why is FDA trading away Bowie and Ellis and now Lasselle? I thought he had atleast 2 more good seasons.

I guess different people got different strategies. You wanna win 1 year and then suck the next 5 years. I don't.

Not Really, I wanna win every year but some seasons I dont put any effort at all to get myself out of a hole. I dont Expect to have 1 single player that I have now 2 seasons from now SO in Dallas you never know what your going to get. For me the ladder is high this season, But I never want to TOTALLY REBUILD like Utah and take 4 seasons off, Rather play the trading game then to wait for players to develop.

he's clearing his payrole obviously. I think the Ellis trade was solid. First rounder from a team that had (traded away) the 5th last draft + money for a 30+ year old expiring player. You better question Blazers motives imo than NY's.

Well Motown its not just this trade, its all his trades he's made this off season.

Save the excuses. You put an old team together and it all retired at once, then you went trade crazy to keep the ship from sinking, but it was too late.
I guess this is gonna be part 2?

i like what fda is doing. the team was built by ric still, so he wanted to make it his. really i am surprised he rolled with it as is basically for that long.

you cant even keep the team you assembled the same for 2 years, how can you expect someone keeping a previous gm's team together. its not like he got hosed in any of the deals or anything.

Hey Ellis isn't that old and I need scorers who can shoot plus everyone else wants young players and picks for their top scorers. Can't help it that fromer Blazers GM made so many dumb trades. I'm still a newb at this, now that I look at it made mistakes with the Nets but at least they aren't screwed cap wise and they have picks too. They also had a nice run to end the season.

We're still sticking to run and gun (Very Fast/Outside) since that's too fun to stop. Just wanted to do it with younger players though (younger players that are under cheap long contracts like Hoppen and Fuller, that I can camp without worrying about having to pay them big bucks soon). Big thing for me is gonna be Hoppen, he's not Sam Bowie, but he is an A Def/A- Reb guy who while Bowie been all defense 1st team, Hoppen been all def 2nd team every year. I got him along with Thompson for the post defense, then the rest (Petrovic, Starks, Fuller) for the offense. We'll see how it works out.
