I am going to void out 2 contracts on the Magic. I have had new potential owners look over the team and see that its in cap trouble with crappy players, and that it doesnt have its next 2 first round picks.
I dont blame them from not wanting to take it over as it would be hard to do anything for another 2 seasons. at least if I void out the bad contracts the team could potentially sign top notch FA's while they wait for the 1sts to return.
I will run the team until we find a owner.

Sounds good to me. That's why we pay you the big bucks, John: to make tough executive decisions like this! ;D If you haven't gotten your commish salary, check with don1955, he was supposed to be sending you a Paypal. At least that's what I heard!

I think Orlando is a nice situation because there's no expectations, so if you win there you're a instant hero (I.E Arrestinu in Denver)

Actually, I've a slightly different suggestion. . . .Let the Magic keep their two best players. . . Moore at 19 and 9 assists is not that bad a bargain on his contract. . . .Schayes isn't either when you compare him to the likes of a Wennington . . .Bedford. . .other decent rebounders without great scoring ability. . . . . .So let them keep their two good guys. . .
. . . .oh and move them to the West where they can more easily compete. Thinking about it let he Knicks move West like the Dodgers and Giants did. . ..they don't have a team in Carmel.

I remember when Warriors were willing to take that team over. So it's not that jacked.

because i traded for his 1st round pick thinking it was going to be close to the same team and it would prolly be a low pick...now the team has a chance to maybe pick up some good free agents and better its self...so i am just looking out for my investment...

Well you can always send John a threatening PM to make him change the contracts back to what they were. What you think?

i would be if that was to happen...but i am going to be more wary of trading for future picks now as who knows if the gm runs the team into the ground and quits and this comes up again... i see some of the point as maybe someone doesnt want to take over a bad team, but then again whoever gets to take over a great team, not many, that is part of the challenge to a new gm to get it back up and running and it can be done with those players still on that roster...look at the nuggets, aresstinu has done a great job with that team considering with what he had to start with...so it can be done...

Trading for future picks is a big time risk. But in a lot of cases its a huge reward, look at the Grizz having 5 of the top 7 picks last year (With none of them being their own pick). As long as you didn't give up a young superstar for the pick you're OK.

That pick is still going to be a very good one. They dont have any good players, or picks to get them. This was just a way to help fix them for when there current picks they have are there.
