Something I would like to do here before we get to many seasons in is have our own Hall of fame. We could decide on the basic things needed to qualify like min games played, or seasons. Then when a player retires who meets this we can all vote on if he should enter the ITP hall of fame.
I would create a new section on the forums for it, where links to the players stats could be found. We could also list any championships or how many championships that player has one.
thoughts?

sounds awesome to me, we need to set a % of votes number on how to get in though. 66% or higher i think.

Since not everyone would vote I would say it would have to be at least 66% of the ones that do if not everyone. Feel free to toss out more thoughts, ideas on this.

it could be part of the offseason and all the GMs submit their HOF ballots, a 2 season waiting period before being eligible also should be in.

Yup I agree with that. I like the 2/3 vote of 66% to get inducted. All GMs cast a ballot to John via PM....or maybe even to have a "Hall of Fame Ballot Counter" that gets paid a very small amount (like $25 or 50) each off-season to do it....just to keep one less thing for John to do....?
I also like the 2 season waiting period....is a statistical threshold type qualifier needed or is it pretty obvious? I mean....if Scottie Pippen averages 5ppg for 20 seasons is he really gonna get in on name value? idk, I guess maybe?

We could do nomination threads and then have people vote by PM ballot after the possible inductees were known.
Love this idea, btw, FBBs version of the HOF sucks.

I dont think we need statistical qualifiers, it will be fun to debate though.

+1 great John. Is there anyway we could get more specific regarding how we can get them on and then perhaps the team that retires them w/ the jersey etc get a small bonus say +25 or something? Would be nice to keep them on a team basis I dunno thoughts?

Would be nice to keep them on a team basis I dunno thoughts? we all need to work on a system. maybe the player has had to be a started for min 5 years, played min 400-500 games to start?? IDK we need to come up with min qualifiers

dont like the idea of someone gettin $25-50 cash just to count 20-29 ballots.... well - its 20-29 ballots with multiple players on it, could be a lot of tallying....just thought paying someone a small amount of cash would be a little extra incentive to do it, and take a monotonous task away from John having to do it....but maybe it's not that big of task, so idk....just a thought

$25 cash is like making a few bets. It's not that big of a deal IMO.
