Anyone notice how those things are barely used even though you need defense to win? 21 players sent to defensive camps - 94 players sent to inside scoring camps.

It has to do with the cost more then anything, and here people love to score a bunch of points... +6 Inside for $275, cannot beat that...

I don't have enough cash to send one of my players to Boy Scout Camp, let alone one that will improve their game. ;D

True the 275 for +6 is a nice little deal, but defense wins and yet there's only like 3 D-Camps per season?

I have not used it many times, because I look for A- defense rated guys to start with.. I have not seem much of a need to try to get them to A or A+. I know there is a difference but I am not sure how much. I had Drexler who was A+ and I didnt notice him play any better defense then Mullin who had A- when I had him... Im sure it is things you dont notice like holding the opp to less points per game, but that is alot of research.. Maybe Don could put the time in and research the difference between A+ and A- at multiple positions.. Id give it a +$50 if he made the article..

I remember Don having 2 A+ Defensive guards. I forgot who the PG was and the SG was Sidney Moncrief.

I think it was the guys playing PG for the Magic now, Moore or Bagley one.. But nobody has ever gone into depth and charted how each player, the A+ and the A- PG, held their opps to a lower point total on defense..

Another thing about defensive camps. I see some people sending big men to D-Camps. But with +3 per D, + 3 steal, + 3 drive D and only +3 Post D. Isn't the camp better for perimeter players? Or are those first 3 valuable to bigs too?

I used Big Man Camp on DRob 2 times and it got his defense to A but the +6 Inside scoring didnt help him score more... I dont get him..
