The end of a rough season for the Orlando Magic. Alot of ups and downs this season as the season started with high hopes for the future. Those hopes increased when Bernard King, Mark Aguirre, and Mo Cheeks were brought into the fold. Then dashed when King suffered a long term injury and GM Legend hit the reset button. Now the Magic are looking toward Free Agency with longing. Here's how another Magic season ended.
BULLS 127, Magic 91
Player Of The Game: Magic Johnson
The Bulls set out to get revenge and it must have tasted sweet because they just kept going at it. Larry Bird finished with 37 points for the Bulls and Magic Johnson managed 26 with 16 assists. For the Magic Andrew Toney had 26 points and Frank McHale added 23.
Magic 103, MAVERICKS 82
Player Of The Game: Andrew Toney
This was a feel good win over a reasonably matched opponent. Which isn't saying much. Andrew Toney finished with 23 points and Harold Pressley finished with a double double with 14 points and 10 rebounds.
Lakers 106, MAGIC 104
Player Of The Game: Harold Pressley
A nail biter as Harold Pressley, 31 points 14 rebounds, tried to single handedly take the game away from the Lakers. Andrew Toney added 25 points of his own. Frank McHale had 12 assists but also added 5 turnovers.
Magic 100, BUCKS 77
Player Of The Game: Harold Pressley
It looks like the team can win if Harold Pressley is on. He scored 31 points for the second straight game with 10 rebounds. Andrew Toney once again had 25 points.
76ERS 114, Magic 83
Player Of The Game: Michael Jordan
What an ugly way to end the season getting blown out by GM Legend's least favorite person in the entire world. At least Jordan and Barkley both had great games. The leading scorer for the Magic was Frank McHale with 16 points. Ron Cavenall managed 17 rebounds.
So that ends the season with high hopes for the offseason.
