Not particularly any favorite team in the NBA. I just watch for fun. I do enjoy me a good GSW 3pt contest though

Well OGs agent is Sam Rose. Son of Knicks President Leon Rose. Sam Rose also represents Jalen Brunson. And 2 years ago on draft day the Knicks cleared up about 30mil in cap space right before the start of free agency. Probably because they already knew they had the Brunson deal done. And 2 seconds into the start of free agency Brunson was signed. They signed him so fast, they got hit with a tampering charge. So I think they already got an idea of the number to re-sign OG.
Think it's a logical trade for both sides. Raptors need a long-term solution at PG. Quickley with his quickness and shooting ability makes for a nice fit alongside Barnes. And He gets opportunity he would never get in NY playing behind Brunson.
As for OG. He's A natural fit with the Knicks. Moreso than Barrett. RJ is not an off-ball player. His shooting is too inconsistent. And his defense is OK. So with the ball predominately in Brunson/Randles hand he doesn't really make a consistent impact. Which is why most of the time he's sitting on the bench in crunchtime minutes.
OG from what I understand is an excellent defender. Big guy 7'2 wingspan. Can take on the big forward matchups in the East. A type of defender they didn't have on their roster. And a much more reliable catch and shoot player. I think he's a more logical fit for the Knicks.

One game in and I already like OG. Moves without the ball. Got 3 dunks just cutting to the basket. Made 3 3pters. Defensive versatility. He's guarding Anthony Edwards on the perimeter. He's banging with Karl Anthony Towns in the post.
I don't know about this Precious character though. He might be worse than 38 year old Taj Gibson. Too skinny to be a backup big.

Celtics fan from the early 80s. Bias' death was very sobering to a then 13 year old.

You know what you’re getting from him every night. With Previous, well, he’s pretty much the opposite. He will make multiple bone head plays again but if he can limit those mistakes then his defence is pretty strong and he can shoot pretty well.

Celtic fan huh? So that's why you traded away all the Lakers?? Ha! Man, I remember watching basketball back then, and being SO happy or upset, depending on the results. That 85-86 Celtics team was flat out incredible to watch. That playoff stretch was spectacular. They beat the Bulls in the first round, when Jordan really put himself on the scene, scoring 63 in one of the games. The Hawks won one game against them in the second round, and they swept the Bucks in the Conference finals. I root for UVA, even back then, so I was a huge Sampson guy, which of course was with the Rockets in the finals. They win in 6, and the last game of the finals was around the 8th or 9th of June I think. The draft comes up like a week or 10 days later, and the Celtics had that pick, and went with Bias. I remember thinking how the Celtics were going to be good for so long adding Bias to the mix as well. Then woke up to the overdose news. Man, I was crushed. That's the last title the Celtics won for over 20 years as well. They lose to the Lakers in '87, then the Pistons, then Bulls, start their runs.

If you like money then play this three bet parlay on every Pistons game: Pistons opponent to win on the money line, Cade Cunningham over 20.5 points, Cade Cunningham over 2.5 turnovers. That's a winning parlay on 19 of the Pistons 33 games this season.

How good of a pro do you think he would have become?I don't think he would be at a level of top 10 or 20 of all time, but I think he was talented enough to be a muti-time All Star, get some All NBA nods, etc.... He wouldn't have the impact a Lebron has had, but a real quality player, though. As an ACC guy (Virginia), I was able to see Bias play on tv a few times, and was at the Virginia/Maryland game in Charlottesville in January of '86 with my older brother. He dominated that game.

Was more of a wing slasher, but had the body to post up as well. Probably the closest comparison I would be able to think of would be a Tracy McGrady type talent. Had a mid-range game, but don't know that he would have evolved into the shooter from the outside that McGrady or a Paul Pierce did.

What if he fell in love with the 3ball like Antoine Walker?

What if he fell in love with the 3ball like Antoine Walker? I used to have a serious love/hate relationship with Walker. That dude could ball, but really thought he was a better three point shooter than he was.

It wasn't just a false confidence. He said he shot all those 3s because there's no 4pointer. When you think about it, Antoine Walker was analytics before analytics existed. Those stat jukers owe Walker a job for life. He created their whole profession.

Those stat jukers owe Walker a job for life. He created their whole profession. True. Worst thing that happened to him was the first year he start jacking up so many threes, he had his career year (00-01). Then he never shot the same level from three again.
