5 game sim for the Raptors this time around. Let's see how they did.
Game 1: Bullets @ Raptors W 109-93 - The Raptors started out the sim out the right foot by taking care of business against the Bullets. Toronto took a 23 point lead into the 4th quarter as they controlled this game throughout. Wayman Tisdale was the game's leading scorer with 30 points and 10 boards. World B. Free chipped in 27 points, 7 boards, and 6 assists. Fat Lever was named player of the game as he finished with 20 points, 12 assists, 6 steals, and 5 boards. Jon Koncak also scored in double figures as he had 10 points and 12 boards. Kevin Johnson was the leading scorer for Washington with 22 points, 5 boards, and 6 assists, but he also had 7 turnovers. The Raptors shot 51% for the game compared to 47% for Washington.
Game 2: Raptors @ Suns L 130-97 - Toronto stayed close throughout the 1st half but then in the 3rd quarter they gave the game away by being outscored 34-14. Tisdale was Toronto's leading scorer with 22 points and 5 boards. Lever was named player of the game for the 2nd consecutive game with 19 points, 14 assists, and 6 boards. The Suns had 6 players score over 20 with Larry Nance scoring 26, Bill Laimbeer scoring 24, Maurie Jones scoring 22, and Charles A. Jones scoring 21.
Game 3: Raptors @ Bucks W 114-110 - The Raptors picked up their 2nd win of the sim by outlasting the Bucks by 4. Free was the game's leading scorer with 39 points as he shot 14-25 from the floor. Tisdale chipped in 27 for the Raptors. Lever won player of the game for the 3rd straight game with 13 points, 14 assists, and 7 boards. Koncak added 19 for the Raptors. Karl Malone led the way for the Bucks with 31 points and 10 boards. Mike Gminski added 25 and Aguirre scored 21 for Milwaukee.
Game 4: Hornets @ Raptors - 2 wins in a row for the Raptors. This hasn't happened since earlier in the season. Toronto was led by the player of the game, Fat Lever, who won the award for the 4th straight game as he had a triple-double with 15 points, 10 boards, and 13 assists. Tisdale was the game's leading scorer with 29 points and 7 boards. Free added 22. Gerald Wilkins led the way for the Hornets with 25 points and 7 rebounds. Herb Williams had a double-double with 17-12.
Game 5: Heat @ Raptors L 123-96 - The Raptors couldn't keep this winning streak going after a tough game against the Heat. Hakeem won player of the game with 33 points and 11 board and A.C. Green chipped in 22 points for the Heat. Free led the way for Toronto with 28 points. Koncak added 24. Lever had another double-double with 12 points and 12 assists to go with 4 rebounds and 4 steals. Tisdale was held to only 2 points as he only managed to play 7 minutes.
3-2 for the sim. Lever showed up with a double-double in 4 games and a triple-double in the other. Free finally started to show up these past couple of sims as he averaged 26.2 this sim. Unfortunately, it's too little too late.
