Nets send Jeff Ruland, Cliff Levingston and $57 to Warriors for Danny Schayes and Mario Elie.
Warriors get deeper with Ruland and Levingston. Nets get a slight C upgrade in Schayes, and can insert Mike brown into the starting lineup. Solid trade for both parties.

Actually, a variety of reasons I made this trade.. . .Last season with pretty much the same team I didn't like the results. . . . the Chemistry seemed off. . .so I felt a change was in order. . . .I'm grooming Brown to be my SF. . . so Levingston is part of the change.
I'm rather concernedd that Schayes will not perform as well for me as he did for the Warriors. . .but hopefully at least as well as Ruland. . .but without the fouls and I expect more blocks and rebounds. Ruland was a top ten guy in the league for fouls and had 11 DQ's. . . .
Finally, Elie is not all that great but I figure he'll be ok as a backup for Brown. . . .
A general shake-up and the Nets are ready to try it one more time.

Schayes did very well for me, but he also play PF which is probably a better fit for him.
I hope the same effect will happen for Ruland.
I also am up for a shake up, and i was told my bench was pretty weak so making it stronger with Livingston should be really well. Especially since he can score, and i hope playing him at SF/SG he will be productive.
I also am glad I lost Schayes contract. I tried moving him to a couple people but they always brought up his contract, so getting rid of it will help.
