Neither King nor Richardson will be close to what Giannis is. I have less than $1K in the bank. I couldn't camp either, and I get my Lebron "slower-downer" if such a thing exists. Giannis will get camped every single year he is on my team and will be a top 5-10 guy in all of ITP, easily. Trade council rules 1. To protect newbies 2. To protect the integrity of the league I am not a newbie, nor am I compromising the integrity of the league as the trade is even and I don't know FDA, nor do I want to help him. By your own rules it doesn't seem like you would have any jurisdiction over this trade. Outside of you and Don, who else is in the council? Don knows me from another league so I would be surprised if he does not rule in my favor. Slow down bud. Anyone can request a trade council. I'm not on the council. And you are new to itp. Knowing gms is a plus, but you are still new here. ITP is a different beast. But once again, I am one vote. 3 votes needed for council THEN council votes. So chill, it's not like I'm railroading this. I'm not new to ITP. I just played under a different name like 2 years ago.

personally, i don't give a fuck about the effects of the trade. I just like seeing a open playing field once in awhile. Im dismantling a perfect team either way, so its not like im worried about the knicks or anything.

But now that you're supposedly dismantling the team (Heard the same song last year) you wanna see an open playing field huh? Ok

Yo I'm not trying to be a dick but that was really the wrong choice of words lol. You're talking about a open playing field when you just won 75 games lol.

I'm not new to ITP. I just played under a different name like 2 years ago. and what was it? YouGotAinged...my Kings won a ring after I traded for Magic Johnson in similar fashion. I drafted King and Benoit, Blazers were wicked cool to me and we were able to figure out a trade where I unleaded a ton of picks. I think that went to council, too

You're 100% sure of that? I wanted to tear apart Jones Batum Beasley because things were getting stale and I didn't want you to keep yelling at me lol. But when you're lowballed for your stars it's hard to rebuild.

way too much... one for one is kinda reasonable, 2 for 1 is self destruction in my opinion. King is a top 6 pick in this draft, in a good draft at that, And to add a top level rookie (#5) for a camped out max salary player, albeit young, to a team that doesnt have any pieces to use the big max to contend. Giannis is a good piece, but his ceiling is nearly reached (65 pot left), hes almost all done camping, is a tweener (bad reb/strength/per d for a SF) red flag*, making 17 mill+, and is isnt a #1 or even really #2 option on a good team. and thats no offence to giannis, he is a solid 3, and great non option. but getting a good 3 or great non option, isnt worth losing 2 franchise cornerstones on cheap contracts. TO me. Imagine thinking a 23 year old Giannis with a ton of camps left has maxed his potential. Lol. I didn't even have the cash to camp King + 5 next year, nor did I love anyone available to me at 5. I'll be tanking again, playing the long game, preparing to strike when your pick conveys to me in 1982, along with Heat and Raptors picks. I got an actual franchise player and FDA got 2 cheap young pieces to compliment what he already has. I dont think you realize how the potential works in this game. He wont be improving much more than what he has already. King and Jason Richardson are both pieces who will probably have the same output as Giannis in the future. Giannis is a great player in this game and I would love to have him but the red flags are there. FDA is probably the best GM in this league. If he is doing a deal, odds are he is fleecing you (not meant in a bad way FDA, just that you know good trades when you see them). Giannis has been falling down the options with FDA and his willingness to trade him should show he isnt quite the franchise player he is IRL. King averaged 22 points per game which is already more than Giannis as a rookie. Bernard King in 4 years could very well be better than Giannis and you gave up the 5. I dont think the trade is bad by any means, but most GMs dont win when trading with some of the greats in this league like FDA.

You're both friendly and have been supportive as this is clearly a blockbuster and involves a new GM and one of the better GMs in this league. But I'm not afraid to trade with anyone. Post here if you want the council involved. I'm happy to discuss / justify it. But I am already tired of defending myself publicly so I am about done with this trade discussion. I don't like being talked down upon, which seems to be the tone here.

Giannis has dropped in the scoring options but that's only because Hardaway/Damon have been a super dynamic backcourt and I like them as the 1-2 options. They can drop 60+ combined any game. But Giannis has been a 24-25 PPG scorer once I realized I fucked up and put him back as the 3rd option (From Sim 11 - Now. That's 39 regular seasons + 8 playoff games). My views on him have not changed. 2 more perimeter camps next year and he's basically equal to Damon Stoudamire in terms of scoring ratings. What did change though was I got a very good offer from the Mavs, I considered it for damn near 3 days and I finally grew some balls and completed the deal. Honestly when I made this thread I thought the majority response would be "Why is this idiot trading Giannis?".

I was getting Giannis either way, had some huge offers on the table since I joined the league. Finally something worked both ways.

Don't think this will go to council and if it does it won't cause more than a little discussion
