Also I think they should be in line for some good luck in these drafts after spending 5 consecutive firsts on Trent Richardson, Brandon Weeden, Mingo, Justin Gilbert, and Manizel. It gotta balance out right?

While Romo is a upgrade over Brock I just don't think he will make the Texans that much better, hes the reason I've hated the cowboys for awhile because of the timely picks and the fact he can't win playoff games. Losing AJ Bouye is a big lose for them wish they would have kept him, gonna need to replace him in that secondary to be a good as we were last year defensively. True but Watt is back, so whoever replaces Bouye will have a much easier life with Mercielus, Clowney, AND Watt getting pressure. I agree but you gotta have a good secondary or you can still lose Brady will shred you by getting the ball out quick and take the 5 yards every time. Bouye was a huge reason the Texans defense was so great this year because he prevented short passes and kept the player he was on lockdown for the extra time alot of times when pressure failed. I also question can Watt,Clowney, Mercilus and Cushing all stay healthy? If not you need a secondary to close the gap shall pressure not work.

I know the offensive line was probably the worst I've seen in a very long time(outside of the Seahawks...I can't believe they can ever move the ball with that line), but I absolutely hate the money the Vikes threw around for middling lineman(granted holy shit are the Jaguars just throwing money around for guys they'll probably cut within the next few seasons anyways). The Jags are basically doing the same thing the Bucs did for years & years to no/minimal success. Until the Jags actually start hitting on draft picks consistently, they'll still scuffle in the AFC South. I hope Reiff & the versatility he provides works, but man did they throw a lot of money to Remmers(granted both contracts are basically 2 yr deals with options/roster bonuses that only kick in if the Vikes exercise any options. I feel that the pretty awful O-Line draft class this year played a big factor. As for some of the other FA/Draft happenings/thoughts: The Browns definitely should stay away from any of the QB'S in the draft this year & either you play Kessler or find a stopgap(maybe Chase Daniel since there should be no way he remains in Philly). Heck even send Osweiller out there this year & pick a QB with a 1st next year(Sam Darnold & Josh Rosen are so much better than any QB in the 2017 Draft). The Browns have so many picks & holes to fill that they just need to flesh out the roster as best they can this year & they can always trade up in next year's draft for the QB. One final thought, man has Cousins cleaned up on the Redskins dysfunction...I've never seen a team self destruct so quickly & totally mismanage a decision/situation like the Cousins impasse.

interesting few days for the packers. Signing martellus bennett was huge, but then they lost TJ Lang, and just now Eddie Lacy signed with the Seahawks.

Luke Joekel and Lacy are great cheap signings for the seahawks.
Cordarelle Patterson signing with the Raiders could really help their Special teams, and possibly Derek Carr if the OC knows how to use Patterson.

I like how Seattle is going from 'Beast Mode' to 'Feast Mode' at the RB position. Cordarrelle Patterson will help the kick return game and he does well as the gunner on punts, but as a receiver he is not very good. The Raiders would be better off playing him at RB like the Packers did with Ty Montgomery.

Losing TJ Lang hurts but we have people who can fill in for him. He wasnt going to be coming back anyways thought since TT doesnt like giving big money to aging lineman. Will definitely miss his personality though. I wanted Lacy back on a cheap one year deal. His deal isnt as cheap as I wanted and with he weight fluctuating again, I was fine with letting him go although I really liked his style of play. I would have loved to have him be a workhorse back or work hand in hand with Montogomery (who complement each other nice), but Im not sure he can carry that load without getting hurt. I want Lang to do well, but let Daniels get the game winning sack on Stafford and Lacy to break the rushing record only to eat too much Chinese food before the NFCCG which causes them to lose to the Packers.

Didnt Patterson have a somewhat solid year last year? He still seems like one of those guys that could get his aha moment and become very good, although I dont see it happening. Maybe with an actual team around him it will happen

Packers signed Davon House. A solid CB who can provide depth, but we will need to either find a stud CB in the draft who can come in right away and guard WR1 or will need Randall or Rollins to step up. I do like the addition of House because he should make it somewhat easier on Randall, Rollins, and Gunter and maybe they can progress some more instead of digress.

CP is listed at 6'2" and 220 pounds, while Ty is 6'2" 216 pounds. Looking at pictures of them on the field, they look similar to me. Neither of them are your typical skinny receivers, they are both pretty solid. I don't think Patterson will ever be a conventional NFL receiver. The reason he had so many catches this year was because the O-Line was so bad that Shurmur had Bradford throwing everything within 5 yards of the line of scrimmage (52 catches for 453 yards last year). That's where he works best, on short passes near the line of scrimmage. If he can't figure out how to run routes against NFL defenses after 4 years, then he'll never get it. Don't get me wrong, he can make some dynamic plays for a team, but his skill set is limited and requires some creativity by the coaching staff to get the most out of him.

I really thought Patterson was taller and Montgomery smaller. I do think Patterson is best put in a specific role that can get him easy touches and lets him do work. Dont look to much into that jab. Vikings are far away from the worst run team in the NFC North.

What a difference a few days makes with FA signings for the Vikes, between bringing Thielen & Newman back & adding Datone Jones & Latavious Murray...I'm very pleased with what has been accomplished. Plus the fact that all of the signings are your typical Vikes FA contracts(Heftier 1st year cap hit & can easily get out of the contracts after 1 season or just will not be an egregious/expensive contract). I know Jones didn't make much of an impact in GB, but he's a player that fits the Vikes scheme & system perfectly(versatile D-Lineman that can play in the 4-3 & play either DE or kick inside to DT like Robison does) & offers insurance if Sharif Floyd can't stay healthy. Now basically the Vikes can just continue to rebuild the O-line & @ some point in the latter rounds of the draft add a potential return specialist to replace Patterson. One other position I wouldn't mind the Vikes targeting is adding a TE in the draft, with how impressive this TE class is, or if we'd target another Red Zone pass catching threat in FA...Anquan Boldin would be awesome to have around.

For the Vikes, I think he will be able to play some DE on base downs, and slide inside to rush on passing downs (as Ryan mentioned that Robison does). Having a DE rotation of Griffin, Robison, Hunter, and Jones will be nice so that they have some depth to keep rotating players, which should keep everyone fresh.

Jets are probably signing morris claiborne. Good move for them as they really need some talent in their secondary. Too bad Claiborne gets hurt so much. What's with all the secondary for the Cowboys getting the fuck out of town??

What's with all the secondary for the Cowboys getting the fuck out of town?? Easy, they get exploited because of all the Cowboys players/pass rushers that get suspended all the time...so all the Cowboys D-backs are made to look worse. It also doesn't hurt that they were able to make decent to great money in FA either, since there was no way the Cowboys could afford to pay them enough. The Cowboys are just finally beginning to get to a decent point cap wise(very little dead money & having Prescott & Elliot playing on rookie deals helps that much more).

Texans need to address a few needs in a CB replacing AJ Boyue, OL needs him help as it struggled some due to injuries so depth is key.
Getting Romo is now huge that Brock is gone. Highly interested to see what they do if Cowboys decide to keep him or keep playing hardball or if another team gets him. Do they just go with Savage and draft or sign a backup.
I'd love for them to sign AP since hes from texas, to a short deal for like 4 or 5 million to be a 3rd down back or dual threat with Lamar Miller would make it tough on teams to constantly have to stop both of them.
