Looks like romo is going to the texans! Houston just traded Osweiler, a 2nd rounder, and a 6th rounder to the Cleveland Browns just for cap relief and a 4th rounder in return.

I am liking the signings for the 49ers, for the most part, so far. Marquise Goodwin, Brian Hoyer, kyle juszczyk are all solid signings. Overpaying for malcolm smith and garcon were dumb though

I'm pretty excited that the Giants signed Brandon Mashall for as cheap as they signed him. Last year they their top 3 WRs were all shorter slot guys. It's nice to have a big 6-5 230 outside WR that's 2 years removed from a 109 catch 1500 yard 14 touchdown season.

I like the Jags signing a big time interior dlineman like Campbell AND AJ Bouye, who played like a lockdown corner last year. Bouye and Jalen Ramsey on paper looks like a great young CB tandem. And got talent and big names on the D-line. It'll be interesting to see if it all comes together or if the Jags continue to disappoint.

I think the addition of marshall bumps the giants up to the 3rd best team in the NFC behind the cowboys and falcons. He is going to wreak havoc in the redzone with Eli manning. Mashall is plaxico 2.0, a weapon that eli has desperately needed for awhile now.

While Romo is a upgrade over Brock I just don't think he will make the Texans that much better, hes the reason I've hated the cowboys for awhile because of the timely picks and the fact he can't win playoff games.
Losing AJ Bouye is a big lose for them wish they would have kept him, gonna need to replace him in that secondary to be a good as we were last year defensively.

True but Watt is back, so whoever replaces Bouye will have a much easier life with Mercielus, Clowney, AND Watt getting pressure.

its REALLY early, but it seems like the Pats will be, hands down, the front runner for the superbowl favorite this upcoming season. Acquiring dwayne allen to replace martellus bennett, signing stephen gilmore to back up malcolm butler at cb, getting kony ealy to replace chris long, and now getting brandon cooks for picks, upgrade the pats from where they were last year. Especially the addition of Cooks, will exponentially increase the offensive fire power of New England this season. It is retarded how other teams seem to be inept to make the steal trades the pats make. A dozen other teams should've traded more for: cooks, allen; offered more for ealy and gilmore.

I wonder this though. Cooks wasn't happy with touches in New Orleans and he was putting up big numbers. With all New England's weapons and the way they attack you underneath will Cooks be more than a deep threat decoy with a few big games mixed in?

I feel like Pats are similar to some GMs in this league. Yourself and FDA tend to make good trades just because you ask about the players that most just assume arent available. Some teams might not have ever thought Allen was going to be traded and thus didnt even attempt. Good moves by them, but at least they lost a lot of picks now

Yeah and they'll get them back by trading Garoppolo. Btw what's with the hype about him? The price is a high first round pick + more for a guy with 2 good games last year? Is he that good?

I absolutely agree. If any team trades a pick thats early 3rd or higher, they are really overpaying. I am a niners fan, and it is a nightmare scenario for me if the 49ers trade a top 1st pick + another pick for an unproven backup. You would think gms would've learned from the matt cassell debacle.

Cooks wont be a deep ball decoy, he will be a 6 yard crossing route and wr screen monster, mark my words on that one. He will be wes welker/julian edelman with a ton more top end speed. He very well could be the most uncoverable wide receiver next year, surpassing antonio brown and odell beckham. I still think julio, dez, and hopkins are the best wrs, but they don't have the best fitting qbs and systems.

None of the QBs in this year's draft is worthy of a 1st, so I'd rather reach for a guy like Garoppolo or Glennon than draft higher for a Trubisky or Fizer or Watson.

I'd just hold on to all those picks that they have this year and next. Draft well and start building a nucleus in which a a QB can succeed in. Instead of taking a guy that had two good games surrounded by a Super Bowl winning cast and expecting him to succeed in Cleveland. Sign a stop gap QB, and in the future when an opportunity arises to get the long term answer, go for it.

Hue loves Trubisky apparently but I wouldnt take him unless its #12 at the earliest. Theyve made some good moves so I hope they continue to do so
