Hornets Trade:Bernard King Nuggets Trade:
Nuggets 1992 1st Round Pick (6th Overall) $750 GM CASH Accept. Good dealing RR and good luck! Um, OUCH for the Nuggets... Gilbert and Bernard making a combined $51 million? ? I'd have kept the #6 pick and tried to trade Gilbert to rebuild long term. This is a franchise killer...

doubt arenas is going to be moved with that salary, he should've actually cut arenas to start with a clean state but instead its twice as bad. but i agree, this move made no sense for the nuggets. A team that isn't playoff caliber and milessss away from contending trades their #6 pick (franchise player) AND Cash for a player that Turns the ball over 3 times per game and doesnt even score a ton.

I'm still tanking next season, just prefer King over the guys available at 6. Hoping to dump Gil.
King has a turnover problem but he is 26 and improving so I'm kinda banking on that. Feel like he could develop into a good scorer.

Good luck man, so many problems. Moving a 30 mill contract is near impossible without Giving assets to move them, not getting any. Even if you do, why would you then get a flawed 27yr old Bernard king to be your centerpiece? A turnover prone 20+ mil player with flaws.. You gave away a cornerstone, gave away rebuilding money, and got a mediocre overpaid player that will only hurt your pick for the next 2+ years.

It isn't really fair to RR since I was the one who contacted him with interest in King.
I've been in leagues for years but I am new here and still getting the hang of it. I do understand it if it goes to council and gets overturned. Different leagues have different levels of value and it is not easy to gauge it in this league since this league is many seasons in (and I just joined less than one season ago).
I probably did overvalue King because of his inside scoring, jumpshot, rebounding and stealing. He does turn it over 3.1 times but gets a strong 2.6 steals. Factor in his scoring/rebounding, his positives greatly outweigh his negatives (in my mind). Really believe that if his handles improve, that isn't an area I would worry much about.
I am still interested in trading this pick for somebody established since I plan on competing within 2-3 seasons and the draftee which interests me most in this spot is fairly raw (and 22).

FWIW I think the council got it wrong in this one.
