Bulls send
cap space...$4,677,138 Deandre Jordan...$10,210,253 Bill Cartwright...$3,244,443 Ricky Sobers...$1,659,167 total...$19,791,001
Suns agree
Paying the hard price for MJ & Barkley sweepstakes but so be it.
........................................................
am i missing something here?...bulls are sending $19,791,001 an receiving back $23,250,000...i am under the impression that no team can go over the soft cap involving a trade taking on more salary than sending back...not sure if this is so?...help me out here...lol

You're right, the trade will not be legal as it is posted. Now, if the Bulls add Jayson Williams and cut their 2nd rounder (Derrick Brown), then it would be legal. The Bulls would have Anderson, Walton, and Arenas under contract at that point and be at exactly $62 million in salaries.

the problem is attempting to use cap space in the 115% exception, although even doing that (which won't work) it doesn't match.

I think it will work once when bulls cut their second rounder. Then it will be just over 20 mil which i think should be enough to match Walton's sallary.
