Jazz Trade:
Gerald Wallace Paul Mokeski Jamal Tinsley Loy Vaught Jim Brewer Blazers 83 Jazz 83
Pacers Trade:
Larry Kenon
At first I thought this was a April fools joke and know I sit with the pacers 82 1st so I would love to see this trade pass but I do have some problems.
1) the person making the trade is a division rival. Obviously any team in the central including myself would love to see the best player in the division gone. Even though I know John is going to be unbiased still don't think from the east especially within the division should be able to make a trade regarding a team within east(division)
2) how does the trade get worse? The trade to me was not good to begin with and it got worse. How come the Blazers pick is no longer in the deal? Just baffled by it.
Either way if the deal goes through so be it just feel I should just give my thoughts.

this deal may not have the other pick in it, but it does provide the pacers with 10 million in instant cap relief instead, which the pacers need since they are over the hardcap.

Wallace is good youth who never gets to play, and Mokeski is a decent big so I feel good about the deal it also allows cap relief for a new owner.

Kenon is the best or second best player in the league. He's worth a lot more than cap relief and some mediocre prospects.
But I get that the pacers cap situation put John in a tough spot to make a move to get them under, and Kenon was the easiest guy to move. Blue was smart to take advantage of that.

I was really busy the passed couple days when John said he was taking over the pacers for the time being. I would of made an offer if I knew about it. Also think getting the pick back should of been a priority and I also did have expiring contracts that I could of used in the deal. I know it would not of helped as much as the cap relief the Jazz were giving but I could of def helped him get under. But oh well I missed out.

Protested. I absolutely hate protesting deals, but hey, people protested my deals which were much better than this one, so maybe people will think twice about protesting mediocrely bad deals and save them for horrible deals like this one. Just a thought....looks like I make 3, so the council can decide now.

i find it so interesting how people are bitching about this one, yet no one has shown they offered a deal better than mine, for a team in cap hell, that has shown kenon is going to be moved for a week now. Love the pettiness. And before insulting another teams players, you should probably have a good roster yourself, not a team of overpaid losers. Anyone who thinks mokeski and Wallace are bad players have no idea what they are talking about. Rod Higgins also has A potential and decent ratings while out of position, as a rookie. So a team that NEEDS to trade, to get under the hardcap, winds up with an offer that gets him 10 mill cap space, a rookie with A potential, and 2 rookie contract players that can start (and with minimum amount of camps will be even better. Most teams that try to get out of cap hell do a LOT worse than that.

Seriously Bluechips?
Mokeski has mediocre number ratings. Wallace is expiring and is pretty mediocre. Higgins has A potential but only his inside scoring is above C+. And tinsley is expiring too. There's not one player in that bunch that would be considered a core guy to keep and camp. You don't need to have a great team or whatever to be able to state the obvious. That shot you took at Aceman was nothing more than your defensive deflecting bullshit.

I didn't offer him shit. That still doesn't make this a good deal for a league run team. Which we should be looking out for the best interest of the league. This pile of garbage return is not it. Sorry Blue, it's not personal, so don't make it that bud.

so if you are joining a league, You would rather take a team that cant win a ship while at the edge of the hardcap than a team that is almost under the soft cap with young players, a pick next year, and the ability to shape the team any direction they want? i dont get that.
- Thanks loud, atleast you actually offer some substance. although it doesnt quite give the immediate cap fix. -
As for my team, i am not even hellbent on making this happen for my jazz, i am happy either way. if the trade doesn't happen, I will still have a handful of young guys, my pick next year, and cap for a Grant hill max this year. I honestly just think this is a decent trade for the pacers to restart fresh, and 2 other gms managing the pacers seemed to agree.

This stuff has been happening way, way too often. It's killing the fun of the league.
