Probably what's more outside orientated players to go with Arenas. Though I'm not a big fan of Greene.

Greene is a 2nd rate player who is maybe a good 3rd option on a team. But he gets Mickey who if he camps all 3 years he has left will turn into a flat out stud. Which he will then trade for good assets to help build around his big 3 he already has.

Donte Greene SF 24 6'11'' 226 A- B- C A- C C 53 35.8 16.8 7.5 2.2 1.3 0.6 0.9 .453 .782 .345 $15,969,666 $16,129,363 $16,290,657 2x Inside scoring camp 2x Scoring camp 2x Big man camp Mickey Johnson PF 27 6'10'' 190 B+ C C A- A- C 55 35.0 21.0 11.5 2.5 1.0 1.4 1.8 .448 .793 .000 $18,600,000 $20,150,000 $21,700,000 $23,250,000 1x Big man range camp 1x Defensive camp With only two camps so far, Mickey has a lot of room for improvement at 27 years of age while Donte, even if he's only 24 years old, is fairly close to peaking unless he has a couple of outstanding camps. But then again, maybe that's just my perspective. Disclaimer: Not trying to bash anybody. Simply discussing my thoughts on the trade. I think the Bulls could have gotten more for Mickey than Donte/$150/virtually worthless 1st (Bucks are a virtual lock for a playoff spot, especially now)

I was unwilling to move the clippers 81 first and eddie griffin for greene as I think he not worth a lotto pick + a good project big. He def got the better end of the deal and if Mickey was taken care of correctly I am sure this trade would never have happened. But one guy is 27 and the other is 24 and I am sure that is what he is looking at.

I've been trying to get Mickey for seasons, and now he goes for this...depressing.

How many of those games did you win? Somebodies gotta score for you. I'm still not a fan of his build personally since I like more three point shooting out of my perimeter guys.
I'm not a big fan of Mickey either.

Well I guess I should have made Greene a number 1 option before I decided to trade for Barnes to replace him. I liked barnes because of his rebounding over Greene and figure they were about the same player offensively. I probably wouldn't have traded for barnes, kept greene if he did that here. I never gave him the chance, and so far since the trade mickey has been hurt, and now barnes hurt....
Arenas, and Greene with a top lotto will be nice going into next season. I just hope we can get our guys healthy because I believe we are a lot better than start of season.

I'm not a big fan of Mickey either. That's the thing though, I'm not going to win right now, and I know that. I wanted to get rid of Mickey because I'd rather be stuck with a player who's 24 with some potential left, who I don't have to camp anymore because I'd rather camp Gilbert and whoever I get this year in the draft (hopefully #1 or #2). Also, Mickey is signed into his 30s, whereas Greene is only signed for 3 more years. I'm happier like this.

It was a decent trade for you and I get y you did it. People were overhyping Mickey a bit in this thread. Seems like you've had him on your block for years, and you got a good 24 year old player for him.
