Jazz Trade:
Lionel Hollins $150 Billy Shaw (just signed from FA)
Spurs Trade: Calvin Murphy
Don't see much wrong with it
Murphy is obviously 1 season rental with Slick & Rose the long term options
Hollins will start for Spurs and he gets a couple of seasons to see if he develops + $150 is fine
Definitely a better offer than that from the Suns

Murphy's per 36 numbers: 20.4 PPG, 8.7 APG, 1.4 SPG
Hollins' per 36 numbers: 11.6 PPG, 6.6 APG, 1.8 SPG
That seems a pretty stark contrast considering they are making almost the same salary and Hollins' is for 3 years and not likely to be camped.
I don't see Murphy as a 1 season rental unless he doesn't offer to resign although, he won't have Bird Rights so there is that. Also, the Jazz have been actively trying to move Watts so he doesn't seem to be in their long-term plans.
And as far as a better offer than the Suns, I don't think it comes down to whether it's a better offer or not, depending on what the Spurs long term goals are. However, most rebuilding teams are looking for expirings plus the Suns offered $50 more in the trade.
Having protested, I still think this trade gets processed but I think the Spurs could have gotten more out of the trade than they did.
