I'd like to protest this trade...think its a terrible deal for the blazers. I get it if you wanna rebuild but make a damn trade block. Elmore Smith at 28 is a stud and worth his contract. Seem like Pacers is just taking advantage of a new GM You're welcome to protest...I've protested a few in my day. However, if you knew me (you're fairly new to the league as well), you would be aware that I don't ever make trades to take advantage of anyone. In fact, (and ask anyone in the league), I usually come out on the short end of the deal...lol I saw that he wasn't going to resign Elmore so I made an offer, as did at least one other GM. If you were so worried about a new GM being taken advantage of, then you should have pm'd your concerns to him directly when you saw he declined the resigning. Complaining about it now just seems like crying over spilled milk. And FWIW, I offered several different options when I sent him a pm and that's the one he chose. (As a side note, cash in this league is hard to come by unless you're loaded with perennial all-stars and stat hounds.)

honestly I dont track who every GM resigns man, if you do then good for you. I look at that thread once to see who resigned with me then wait till free agency list is updated...
again no way Bayless who might become a good bench player or a little more is worth a 20/10 guy in his prime with great great defence...Getting cash without a loaded team is possible, I've done it the last two seasons

Props to Aulddawg for noticing blazers declined Elmore, and being proactive.
I don't think it's a good trade for Sooners, but if he camps Bayless into a player with his cheap contract the trade won't be as bad. It'll be interesting to see where he plays Bayless. I remember his defense would suck at SG and his reb wasn't good either. But he also turned it over too much for a PG. He could be developed into a real nice scorer though.

IS JS 3P HAN PAS QUI PoD PeD DrD STL BLK Oreb Dreb JMP STR POT 66 81 50 45 56 94 17 59 71 43 5 27 27 75 41 68 His shooting numbers are pretty good and has 68 potential and he's only 22. While his Defense drops from B- to C+ at SG, I think he can be a very good scorer in the future and is on a cap-friendly contract. His per 36 numbers from last season were 15.3 PPG (on 47.3% shooting), 3.83 RPG, 4.21 APG, 0.77 SPG and 3.06 TOPG. Not that those are eye-popping numbers but again, he's only 22 and hasn't been camped yet. He's one of the young guys that I didn't want to trade and if it wasn't for the chance to get Elmore, he would have been a big part of our offense for the next few seasons. And again, unless your team is stacked with stat hounds/award winners, cash in this league is tough to come by ($30 bet/day) so $250 is nothing to sneeze at either.

I know out of first hand experience how good of a scorer he could develop into. But his position is a problem. At least it was for me.
