If a player is resigning with his previous team and has 3 or more Bird years: 1. The contract can be up for 7 seasons. 2. The player can receive a raise each year of up to 12.5% of the value of the first year of the contract. 3. The Max salary for the 1st year is based off what you have remaining in softcap money. Meaning you can only max out what you have for starting year 1 money. (IE if you have 9mil in softcap room the first year of the max deal would be 9mil) 4. If you have the Birdrights to a player and decided not to take his offer to resign the game voids your birdrights to that player. But if you have the cap room you can offer him up to 6 years max deal.
I declined World B. Free's extension. Do I retain bird right? Can I offer him up to 7years.

Why do I lose Birdrights? In FBB it doesnt work that way.
Assuming I don't have a cap space, I can no longer offer World B. Free a contract other than minimun and exceptions?

That's how I always remember it working in ITP. You decline a guys offer, you lose his birdrights.

When a FA to be offers to resign and you decline his contract offer FBB takes away your birdrights. Its not an ITP thing is a part of the game. So I always warn people at resigns of this.

I dont think so. FBB does not take away bird rights when you decline. It only happens when a player changes team(except via trade)

Are you sure? I tried it on FBB a while ago.
I declined an extension after ending a season. Then when I reached Free agency, I could still Offer him 7years starting at 14million even though I'm over the salary cap. Which means, Bird rights was retained and not lost.

My answer isnt going to change.. when you decline a resign and the player becomes FA you will lose the birdrights to that player. So then in the game you cant max him for the 7 years (if you had birdrights.) You are now just like all the other teams can only do a maxof 6 years and use up any softcap a team has remaining. The game will always list birdrights until the player signs with another team, So basically you can offer max deal for 6 years like the rest of us provided you have the cap to do it, or you can offer any amount under max for 6 years. example: If you had 5million in cap remaining your max offer would start at 5million up to a 6 year limit provided that amount met the min contract amount for that player. Thus no birdrights. THis is how FBB as been forever in any league I have been in and the game will not allow birdrights once a player who offered to resign is declined.

Can players still be moved to another team via the $200 fee if they are over the soft cap?

Can players still be moved to another team via the $200 fee if they are over the soft cap? I'm pretty sure we completely deleted that $200 rule a long time ago. Maybe even as far back ITP2.0. Is this still printed on the rules page somewhere? (just haven't looked for myself yet)
