For a player to be this dominate for this long he deserves it. First year in the league hes a key part in the Jazz championship, then he has some strong years on other teams, signs the big deal with Indy and scores 27 ppg there, comes over to washington helps that team win a championship, then in his 30's is a consistent 20+ ppg scorer for the Suns. Always a strong defender. HOF

my vote is yes. the two championships with different clubs, plus helping rebuild the suns franchise to prominence is key to my vote.

Man, I just noticed Nique's numbers are eerily similar to Aguirre's. Crazy similar, and maybe not even quite as good. It's a bit surprising, considering Aguirre is struggling to get votes. Is it the 2 championships maybe?

I vote yes, but I find it hilarious that Nique is automatic, while his numbers aren't much better than King's.
Nique's career: 23.4 ppg, 7.4 rpg, 2.4 apg, 1.7 spg, 2 ASGs, 1 All-League 3rd team
King's career: 23.1 ppg, 6.1 rpg, 3.1 apg, 1.7 spg, 2 ASGs, 1 All-League 2nd team.
Obviously Nique won two titles to King's one, and he produced for an extra couple seasons, but the career numbers are frighteningly similar...It makes me wonder why Nique will fly through this and King will likely get dropped from the ballot soon.

Another thing was King ever above B+ defensively? I remember him always being B+ and B. Seems like Nique was always an A, and the 1 year I had him I was able to switch him off on the other teams best wing scorer, and he did a good job. Maybe I'm just being bias since I had Nique and not King, IDK.

King averaged the same amount of steals for his career, even though he didn't have as good of a defensive grade. It's name recognition, plain and simple. Nique had a slightly better overall career than King, but the voting discrepancy is amazing, and it's only because his name is Dominique Wilkins.

Isn't it better for the D grade to be made up of Perimeter D/Drive D instead of stealing? So your guy doesn't get torched. Just curious

I voted no. He was a great player, but he didn't have the accomplishments (only 2 all-star games, 1 time voted to an all-league team, and twice getting player of the week) for me to vote him in on the first ballot. He was a consistent player, and did win 2 championships, so I think he will get in, but I can't give him the vote this year.
