I want to go on the record that this will be the first time I can remember that I can't do a starter as also the 3rd stringer at the same position as well (it's been awhile since I was in the last version of ITP so I don't remember if that was the rule then or not). My original plan was something like, as an example, SF- McGinnis/backup/McGinnis. how I've always done my FBB DCs. But! new start calls for a new plan I guess. And I want to clarify- I see the rules say a starter can't play backup minutes at another position (again, strongly disagree with this as in the NBA and every other FBB league, this is done all the time, but alas), but it doesn't say anything about the backups not also allowed to be the 3rd stringer as well at the same position. With that being said:
