@ john; this: I would like to know how he went from a A- rebounding to a B- -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Have a TC related question. Just got Jerome Lane from the Dallas Mavericks genious. He's listed a SF and has A- rebounding Here's the thing: I am gonna play him SG. Now if I'll move him to SG before TC, will his rebounding suffer? edit: I mean B-  |

It looks like it already dropped. Wasn't his rebounding like A- yesterday? yes it was. I don't see how it drops at all. Makes no sense. That is actually the one thing that made him interesting. Great defense and Rebounding for a SF. |

Same thing happened to me like 2 years ago. I drafted a SF with B+ reb Michael Ainsley and shitty D. The next day his defense went up and his Reb dropped from B+ to C+. Seems like a similar situation.

Yeah I guess. But the funny think is Lane has been in the league a few years and it never moved. Just doesn't make sense y it would happen all of a sudden.

Oh ok. Pfew I thought it was me lol.
But you guys think it'll stay high at SG too?
I heard players develop differently at different positions. And I even had some positions have ceilings for certain skill, rebounding for guards and handling for centers, things like that.

there are max levels that guards can have rebounding. i dont think a guard can be above a C+/B-. what you should do is leave him listed as a SF and play him at SG if you want to.

That's true, but if you "wonder" about a non-guard's defense at a guard position, the only way for it to be checked is for John to go into the game and move the player and see what the rating got changed to. Once he does this, the game will then enforce the "ceiling" on rebounding for guards, and drop them to the highest rating possible for that position. They then keep that rating when switched back to their Forward position. I believe that's what John goes through, so you definitely want to keep an eye on that when "wondering" about players. |

I remember this happened to Larry Bird one of the first couple of seasons, and it did affect his ratings for that sim. Then John had to change it back before the next sim. |

That makes sense Gritter, but for easy reference purposes does anyone know these ceilings for each attribute? Like is there a handling max for say centers etc?

I've had a Center with B handling in a different league, when I moved him tp PF it went up to B+. So maybe. But the weird thing was Hakeem's handling went up to B+ later in the same league, at C. Btw I've never had a similar thing in other leagues. different ratings after wondering that is. |
