Ok so 500 games is a min amount the player has to have played in order to be a HOF finalist. and has to get 66% of the votes (of the people who vote) to enter.
anything else we want to add?

I wonder if anybody from this retiree class gets in. Some big names with Free, Erving, Lucas, but little star production.

I think we should add that if a player doesnt get the 66% of the votes to get in he automatically goes on the ballot for the next season.
thoughts?

i think we need a minimum % to stay on the ballot though. something like 10-20%

20% sounds right

john you should make a stickied post in the HOF that has a player eligibility list and list the retires for each year so we can track easier if we are having a waiting period.

Alex English? He was a star coming in first few years. Now age is knocking him a little.

is there gonna be a limit, as say 3 or 5 names each gm can nominate, instead of haveing 25 names on each gms ballot?

is there gonna be a limit, as say 3 or 5 names each gm can nominate, instead of haveing 25 names on each gms ballot? this answers my question... under the thread... How can a player enter the ITP HOF « Thread Started Today at 6:05pm » -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- 1. Any owner can nominate 1 player per season for HOF voting.2. Player must have played a min of 500 games. 3. Player must get 66% of the votes to enter. 4. If a player gets less than 66% of the votes but more than 20% he will go on the following seasons ballot. 5. If a player gets less than 20% he will be off the ballot.

well, we can each nominate 1, i think we should be able to vote for up to 5 as a max, though 3 might be fine also.

I'm not sure of a need to limit the number of players you can vote for. If you want to vote for everyone that has been nominated on the ballot, that's fine. It doesn't mean every GM will cast a vote for those you voted for, and the player still has to hit the 66% mark. This will also make it easier for "fringe" HOF'ers to possibly remain on the ballot by getting 20% so GM's can evaluate them again the next year.
If your vote is your honest assessment, and you feel every player that has been put up for nomination that year is HOF worthy, you should be able to voice that with your vote.
