How on earth is it fair for one team to be able to skirt the soft cap based on “random chance” All teams can do it. This is not a new thing we have been using it as part of our league since day 1. Now you know, I guess I have to go back to announcing it at fa time each season. Only teams that show as last team can do it. This makes absolutely no sense to me

It's not in the league rules and it appears due to the fact that re-signing is incorrectly done after season flip, not before, how it is engineered in FBB engine and how it is meant to be used. So yeah, thats a glitch The only question is what you do with it. Never noticed it being used in my few seasons here btw Resigns are not incorrectly done. The game removes bird rights if you decline the players resign offer. I've announced this for 20 years, abd earned people each resign season. Now you just accept all resignings and then remove it after season flip. Thats not the correct way and this is why, if resign gets "declined", previous team gets birds - which makes 0 sense The correct way to do it is in-season, then you wouldn't even lose the birds if you don't want to accept re-sign on player terms. For whatever reason ITP is doing resigning in a different way - is fine with me, we all play under the same rules here anyway. It just that creating benefits to previous teams makes no sense, thats all, thats my opinion.

In this version of the gane there is no other time to do the resign, declines, this is why I warn people about bird rights loss when decline. It's why we include all the game failures into the league, and why each team cam simply look at fa list to see if they own previous bird rights on the players declined. This is not a patched version of the game so we deal with those things and include them into the game.

This is a completely misleading statement that’s neglects the most important factor to this discussion. Sure, we know that we lose birds by declining but it’s not stated anywhere those players birds could then be gifted to anyone in the league. In no world should it be fair for one team to have an advantage over another when they didn’t have the player before. It would be nice to be gifted birds for guys like Damon Stoudemire and Andrea Bargnani when your in a cap crunch or rebuilding instead of guys like Jusuf Nurkic and Matt Harpling.. It’s also hard to understand how these supposed quirks somehow always end up to benefit the same team. I don’t have a long history in this league, but nearly every situation that’s come up as being controversial has somehow centered around the same team. That team somehow seems to luck out in the draft, get d league benefits, FA luck, etc… At the end of the day, this league continues to run into issues that I (we?) have never seen or heard of before. We have nearly 15 years of ITP sim league experience, gone through 6 different iterations, a dozen commissioners, 100’s of sim league seasons and 100’s of thousands of test seasons.. never running into these types of issues. It can be said that none of that matters or applies, but all of the testing/experience proved true time and again, through every iteration of the league. I have seen multiple situations in this league that I had never experienced before, and at a certain point it makes you question how it’s happening. Listen, if the league is going to be stacked in favor of certain teams then so be it, but don’t be surprised when people question why it’s happening.

I guess I figured after 20 years people knew that. I'll start announcing that at resign time as well again.

This version of the gane is original without the patches, updates. This is why we include the faults in the game into the league over the past 20 years. And I've played in tons of other leagues that have the same stuff. These are not issues they are common knowledge, and part of the game.

It's cool that Damon cameback. He was our first ever draft pick. Now maybe he can retire as a Knick.

Well one thing we all know for sure is any Knicks success from this point forward is at least partially credited to taking advantage of a glitch that most other people didn't know about.
