So hostile. Hate to see it. Are you gonna show me the camp or what? Oh yeah. You can't show what never existed. So at least admit to John1974 you lied for no reason, just to get my camp cancelled. Dude what? That has no bearing on what the rule is. The guy isn't on a rookie contract.

Dude what? That has no bearing on what the rule is. The guy isn't on a rookie contract. What part of an extension doesn't = a rookie contract don't you understand? Yet they were all allowed right? Ok then. When you extend a contract it is part of the original contract. This is from the NBA CBA if you're interested. A “Designated Rookie Scale Player Extension” adds 5 new years to the player’s Rookie Scale Contract (for a total of 6 years when the remaining year is included). To sign this extension, the player must be a qualifying veteran free agent at the time his Rookie Scale Contract ends. Players signed under this rule must have a first year salary in the extended term of at least 25% of that year’s salary cap.

To sign this extension, the player must be a qualifying veteran free agent at the time his Rookie Scale Contract ends. Players signed under this rule must have a first year salary in the extended term of at least 25% of that year’s salary cap. I'm not talking about the fucking CBA. I'm talking about this league. You see any fucking collective bargaining Agreement here? No right? What you see is a league where first round picks can not be camped in year 5 right? And in year 5 when they're under their rookie extension it is not considered part of their rookie contract. Right? So therefore those year 3 and 4 seasons extensions on 2nd round picks are not part of the rookie contractYet those camps were still fucking allowed right? So, it has nothing to do with rookie contracts. It's about being allowed to camp players for 4 seasons. The rules would be the "CBA" I assume, I also believe the contract terms are different for a signed FA who is a 3rd year player and an extended 2nd round pick. Idk, commish already said no, but hey whatever you feel you need to get a leg up bud.

I saw whole discussion after I posted
But listen, FDA, mate, I agree that current rules have room for interpretation. To my understanding tho, idea of camps is develop players you drafted or signed on their draft year (and then extended; although its a bit stupid to give camps on extension, but ya told me whole history of this, it is how it is now). Signing someone 3 years later and then putting all those benefits on him does not really sound like rightfull camp usage, defenately not the one which would help fighting skill inflation (I believe inflation was the reason ITP7 ended?).
Again, I agree some clarification on rules book is needed

Then he killed ITP7. And now he's back for more. You don't think there are much more damaging sources of inflation in this league? For sure there is Don't need a new one tho

For sure there is Don't need a new one tho You mean an old one right? Because Daniel Oturu received a diamond in the rough camp in 2004 insidethepaint.proboards.com/thread/38468/player-camp-historyWould you like to see Oturus player page in 2004? happytailsnaturals.com/ITP8/2004/html/players/player12.htmDoesn't look like a rookie contract does it? Or what about this? 2004 170 Grizzlies C Daniel Oturu resigns for $764,063 over 1 years You see? It was allowed. It's just how often will anybody sign a free agent 2nd round pick and camp him? Because if the 2nd round pick is worth a damn, the team that drafted him will keep him. Right? Meaning 99.9 % of 2nd round picks avaliable in free agency aren't worth Shit. Haluska was the exception. An exception to a rule doesn't mean you change the rule.
