Eagles trade OT dennis Kelly for Titans' WR Dorial-Beckham green. Nice move for both teams. getting a huge mauler in 6'8 kelly will help the titans with their new focus of punishing the defense with runs, while the 6'5 freak of nature Green has the body and potential to be a Terell owen/Andre Johnson type player if he buys in and the coaches let him loose. Personally, i like the eagles side of the deal more, because i think if a team can acquire a 6'3-6'5 talented WR, they have to, because freaks like that do not come around that often. The sky is the limit for Dorial Beckham-Green, but only time will tell if he lives up to his ability.

Just watched the giants-dolphins game. Not a lot of positives from the game.
Vernon showed some pop and looks like he came into preseason in great shape. Eli apple looked like he belonged which is the best you can really ask for from a rookie. #58 oga... on giants had some great hustle plays and could have a breakout year. Nassib had an aweful showing, quite disappointing.
On the dolphins, only 3 players had good showings. Backup rb williams showed burst and good vision, backup rb pead, and backup wr/kr grant showed some blazing speed.

For the jets:
Petty is looking like a NFL starter. He hasn't been tested by 1st team defenses yet, but he is cool calm collected, and hasn't made a mistake this preseason. And by god, does he throw one of the most beautiful spirals consistantly in the NFL, including All qbs in the NFL. Only luck and rodgers whip it perfectly like he does.
Jets 4th rounder cb morris had a huge game He played the ball perfectly all night and made 3 huge pass defences.

God damn, i wish the niners drafted dak Prescott. Fuck! I wanted the Texans to take him. Savage isn't even good enough at this point to be a back up.

I'm very impressed with Dak Prescott. I think a lot of people forget his name had come up before in some Heisman-quality player talk. He's clearly one of those guys that 31 teams missed the boat on. But.......
he will now have to play for 4 quarters against the #1 defense of every team on their schedule, which is a HUGE difference compared to what he has been doing. Not taking anything away from what he's done so far, because he HAS looked very composed and confident. That alone will bode well for him. But teams will find his weaknesses over the next few weeks, and he'll have his work cut out for him. I'm not a Cowboys fan, but I'm not a hater either, so I really want to see him do well. He seems like a good dude too, so count me as a fan.

He will have to show opposing teams that he can consistently complete passes to his 2nd and 3rd wide receivers before they stop blitzing him and elliot every other play. Witten and cole beasley will probably wind up being the cowboys salvation if they want to go far this season.

Seems to me kinda like a seahawk team mobile qb big running game. this offense with dak seems to be alot more powerful than those seahawk teams. Its up to the defense in my opinion.

the problem with that is, well, the cowboys defense is porous at best. but yeah, the cowboys will most likely will use a 2 tight end set early, and ground and pound with stretch runs, to ultimately set up the stretch bootleg play actions much like the seahawks used in the past. It should work against teams with weak d-lines, but teams like the jets or giants will cause problems with that scheme. luckily for the cowboys, although they play the giants week 1 at dallas, the cowboys have a pretty friendly schedule for the rest of the first half of the season. Which could really help dak prescott get his feet wet and get comfortable with a more expanded playbook so opposing defenses will have to worry about more than just a handful of simple plays to prepare for. The coaches might even incorporate a shotgun run-pass option much like what mariotta/kapernick/rg3 have used. Its risky but will keep opposing D-lines on their toes and stop them from just bumrushing downhill every run.

Also I think the Cowboys defense is improved from last year not great but I think solid enough. Especially when all the suspensions are done.

Bridgewater is out for the year with a torn acl. Huge loss for the Vikings!
